WidgetBox - iOS App

WidgetBox iOS app empowers users to personalize their iPhone experience through animated widgets, themes, keyboards, and fonts. I led the redesign of its visual identity and motion system - creating micro‑animations, in‑app video loops, App Store and campaign videos, marketing banners, and holiday promos. My target was to increase usability, engagement, and motion delight.

The app's previous design felt stale: navigation was flat and interactions lacked energy, widgets were lacking ux motion and interactive components. We needed to breathe life into the interface, creating a fresh visual and integrating motion to boost clarity, engagement, and brand appeal.

  • Around a 20% increase in new subscribers in 6 months

  • More than a 25% increase in session time

  • An increase of 20% in retention via engaging UI and functionality

WidgetBox was a pivotal project that allowed me to merge motion design, branding, and user experience into a cohesive visual product. By combining animated storytelling with functional clarity, I helped create a product that feels alive, intuitive, and engaging.

This project deepened my understanding of how motion can drive not only aesthetic delight but real user impact, boosting engagement, retention, and emotional connection. From subtle micro-interactions to full-scale promotional videos, every piece was crafted with purpose.
